Not only working in the popular music genre, Steve Martin has had success producing concerts for the Royal English Ballet, Pavarotti in Hyde Park and Il Divo, where he also co-designed stage sets.

Steve Martin was born in Camberwell, South London in 1959 and has been involved in Tour Management and Production since the early 1980's, after playing 5 a side football with members of the legendary R&B outfit 'Nine Below Zero'. They must have liked his Alan Hudson midfield style, especially the creative interplay with the legendary goal-hanger and NBZ manager, Mickey Modern, since when they made the transition from Old Kent Road pubs to Old Kent Road clubs, they asked him to join the NBZ crew. In 1980, NBZ were one of the hardest working bands in the country, playing nearly 250 shows a year. They also made many TV appearances including the first ever 'Young Ones', Old Grey Whistle Test and 'OTT' the offshoot of TISWAS. Before splitting in 1982, under a storm of 'Self Raising Flour' and 'Free Range Eggs' the band had co-headlined Reading Festival and twice headlined the Hammersmith Apollo. Steve briefly worked again with Dennis Greaves  as he helped the former NBZ frontman form 'The Truth'. However it was the aforementioned Mickey Modern, the Gerd Muller of Peckham, who offered Steve the role of Production Manager for his new protégé Nik Kershaw in 1984. As they say 'it all happened from there'.
